Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or other medical professionals. Your primary goal is to help patients with activities of daily living, ensure their comfort, and provide essential support to medical staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting patients with grooming, bathing, and dressing
- Feeding and monitoring patients' food and liquid intake
- Turning and repositioning patients to prevent bedsores
- Taking vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
- Assisting with medical procedures and treatments as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
- Documenting patient care activities and observations
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a healthcare team
- Compassion and empathy for patients in need of care
